U.S. President Donald Trump stated on the 7th (local time) regarding the U.S. military operation against Iran, now in its eighth day, "We destroyed their communication networks, and all communication networks are gone."

President Trump made these remarks at a meeting with leaders from 12 Latin American countries held at the Trump National Doral Miami in Florida, saying, "(The operation) is proceeding very smoothly."

He added, "I don't know how they communicate, but I think they will find a way."

Furthermore, he said, "We sank 42 naval vessels in three days, and some of them were very large vessels. That was the end of the navy. We also defeated the Iranian air force."

President Trump reiterated the justification for the military operation against Iran, saying, "If we had not carried out the 'Midnight Hammer' operation (last June), they would have had nuclear weapons eight months ago. It's crazy, but they would have had nuclear weapons and they would have used them."
