U.S. President Donald Trump stated on the 7th (local time) that the United States does not want Kurds to be involved in the U.S.-led military operation against Iran.

This marks a 180-degree turn from his previous stance in a media interview, where he expressed he was "all for it" regarding the possibility of Kurds attacking Iran.

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One while traveling to Florida after attending a ceremony for the return of U.S. soldiers' remains at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware on the same day, Trump said, "We don't want the Kurds involved. The war is complicated enough without them."

Trump added, "I don't want to see Kurds get hurt or killed. We have had a good relationship."
