The son of Reverend Jackson sent a message of reprimand to former Democratic presidents, criticizing U.S. President Donald Trump during his father's memorial service.

Jesse Jackson Jr., the son of Reverend Jesse Jackson, sharply criticized the eulogies delivered by former Democratic presidents Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden at a memorial event for his father, who passed away at the age of 84 on February 17 (local time). The event was held over seven days.

According to Fox News, a prominent U.S. news outlet, Jackson Jr. pointed out, "There is one thing these three men have in common: they did not truly know my father."

He stated, "My father's life should be defined by his dedication to the marginalized, not by the 'political order'," and added, "My father demanded a consistent, prophetic voice that never betrayed our people, advocating not for the solutions of Democrats or Republicans, but for the least among us – those excluded from inheritance, the cursed, the dispossessed, the disrespected."

Furthermore, Jackson Jr. said, "If you respect Reverend Jesse Jackson and the life he lived, do not drag him into your political agendas. Show reverence and express your gratitude. Democrats, Republicans, progressives, conservatives, the right, the left. Welcome them all. His life was broad enough to encompass the entire spectrum of what it means to be American."

Notably, Obama reportedly stated at the memorial service on the 7th, targeting President Donald Trump, "Every day we see new attacks on our democratic institutions."

Bill Clinton called Jackson a friend and recalled conversations with Reverend Jackson during his impeachment. Biden, recounting stories of being teased for his childhood stutter and how speech impediments are often mistaken for a lack of intelligence, said, "I'm a lot smarter than most of you H---."

Those reportedly attending Jesse Jackson's memorial service in Chicago included: former U.S. President Bill Clinton, former U.S. President Barack Obama, former U.S. President Joe Biden, former U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Reverend Al Sharpton, and California Governor Gavin Newsom.
