On Severing Ties with Yoon: "These People, You Should Sever Ties with What Needs to Be Severed" Bitter Words
Hwang Kyo-ahn, leader of the new party Free and Innovation (former acting president), is continuously releasing strong statements against the deplorable policies being spewed by the ruling party.
Amidst criticisms that the ruling left-wing government and party of Korea, under Lee Jae-myung, are achieving in a few months what the Venezuelan left-wing regime took 10 years to accomplish, it is being assessed that a figure who served as acting president has timely delivered a significant blow to the current Korean left-wing government's baseless and excessive policy making.
Representative Hwang, who has already announced his candidacy for the Pyeongtaek-eul National Assembly by-election in Gyeonggi Province on June 3rd, has strongly criticized the government's misplaced priorities, expressing deep distrust of the second-in-command of the Lee Jae-myung administration's remarks about "Chinese anxiety."
Representative Hwang Kyo-ahn, who served as Prime Minister under the Park Geun-hye administration, sharply questioned Kim Min-seok, who currently holds the same position in the current government: "He said that strong measures would be taken if necessary regarding the assembly in China and that Chinese anxiety should not grow." He continued, "Are the anxieties of Koreans not heard? What country's prime minister is he?"
He then, in a post criticizing "the Lee Jae-myung administration that prioritizes Chinese over Koreans," lamented the unconstitutional aspects of the proposed amendment to the Assembly Law to prohibit anti-China protests, which was introduced on the 1st of this month, stating that it "ignores the damage and anxiety of its citizens due to increasing Chinese crime and sovereignty infringements."
Representative Hwang stated, "Lee Jae-myung called the assembly of conservative groups shouting 'CCP OUT' an 'act of self-harm that damages the national image' and said they should be 'completely expelled.'" He countered, "I disagree. We must protect and defend our citizens first. When that is achieved, the national image will naturally rise."
He continued, "Lee Jae-myung, as president, is only causing harm to the nation, not benefit," and vehemently declared, "Honestly, Lee Jae-myung was unqualified to run for president from the beginning. The Seoul High Court must immediately resume the trial of the lawbreaker Lee Jae-myung!"
He also delivered a sharp critique of the "Democratic Party's drive to withdraw indictments." Representative Hwang demanded, "Regarding the criminal cases against Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party is driving to withdraw the indictments. This is anti-democratic. Clarify what Lee Jae-myung's silence on this means!"
Furthermore, in another post, he expressed deep concern, stating, "If the judiciary is paralyzed by a 'retrial petition system,' the country will perish. With 15,000 retrial petitions annually, even the Constitutional Court will be paralyzed." He then directly attacked, "They are destroying the Republic of Korea to protect Lee Jae-myung. This absolutely cannot be tolerated."
Representative Hwang Kyo-ahn also criticized the contradictory legislative changes, calling them "bastards of left-wing ideology." He pointed out, "Lee Jae-myung speaks of 'win-win,' the Yellow Envelope Act calls for 'real bosses to come forward,' and a large-scale rally is planned with a general strike in Gwanghwamun. Are they trying to kill the economy or save it? The public knows and I know their sinister intentions."
Meanwhile, Representative Hwang also lamented the People Power Party's collective decision to sever ties with "Yoon-again (President Yoon Suk-yeol's return to office)." He highlighted the issue, stating, "The People Power Party stated, 'We are clearly opposed to all claims demanding the political return of former President Yoon Suk-yeol.'" He did not hesitate to offer bitter words, saying, "These people, you should sever ties with what needs to be severed."
These by-elections will be held in four locations: Pyeongtaek-eul in Gyeonggi Province, Gyeyang-eul in Incheon, Asan in Chungnam, and Gunsan-Kimje-Buan-gap in Jeonbuk.
