Lee Jae-myung's Mockery of the People... Entrusting National Health to the Person Responsible for the Failed Quarantine.

On July 23, 2025, Jeong Eun-kyeong, former Commissioner of the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA), was appointed as the Minister of Health and Welfare. However, the person who accompanied her to the ceremony was not her husband, but her son. When President Lee Jae-myung expressed surprise at his son's tall stature, Jeong Eun-kyeong replied, "He is my son," and burst into laughter. This scene was widely broadcast by the media. 

I could not suppress my anger watching this scene. A parent's love for their child is universal. However, I ask Jeong Eun-kyeong: Is only your son precious?

Immediately after the outbreak of COVID-19, she controlled the public and restricted freedoms as if it were wartime. Social distancing, assembly bans, crackdowns, and travel restrictions trampled the lives of self-employed individuals and ordinary citizens, and the suffering has not yet ended. Not only that, but vaccination was forced as if it were a 'condition for survival,' side effects were hidden, and the bereaved families of those who died after vaccination are still shedding tears today in the face of the state's oppressive demand to "prove causality."

As someone who proposed and implemented a quarantine system for defectors entering the country at the KDCA in 2004, I speak now. In the early stages of the Wuhan coronavirus outbreak, the KDCA did not block entry from China. The public protested and worried about the spread of infection from China, but the government ignored it under the guise of 'promoting hatred.' They abandoned their national duty.

Among the vaccine victims were students. They died after receiving the vaccine, but the government did not acknowledge it as a national disaster or establish causality. Their parents are still unable to leave in front of Deoksugung Palace. For them, Jeong Eun-kyeong's return, heralded as 'successful quarantine,' is merely an act of violence that reawakens memories they wish to forget.

According to official statistics, from February 2019 to August 2023, there were 39,298 COVID-19 deaths, approximately 485,000 people reported post-viral sequelae, and over 34.43 million confirmed cases. However, the statistics stopped, but the suffering continued. 

For example, a 70-year-old woman, an acquaintance's relative, trusted Jeong Eun-kyeong's words and got vaccinated 4-5 times, saying, "I want to live a long life with my children." Afterward, she became so breathless that she couldn't walk even 100 meters, and she eventually died in her car in December 2023. Her face swelled up like a fan, and the hospital only said it was a "rare disease." There was no diagnosis or medicine. Who is responsible for this death?

There are countless cases of people who developed kidney dialysis due to COVID-19 vaccination, contracted rare diseases, or were diagnosed with dementia, like a healthy woman in her 50s.

However, the government still asks, "Is there any proof that it was because of the vaccine?"

Meanwhile, the Moon Jae-in administration compensated victims of the Sewol ferry disaster, the Itaewon crowd crush, and the May 18 Gwangju Uprising without proving causality. Why must COVID-19 victims bear the responsibility individually? Even with a change in administration, the standards have not differed. Rather, the Lee Jae-myung administration brought back Jeong Eun-kyeong and appointed her to the position of Minister of Health and Welfare.

During the Gwanghwamun rally, Gyeonggi Province Governor Lee Jae-myung forcibly accessed the communication records of rally participants and sent text messages threatening punishment if they did not get tested. He boldly carried out such 'fear politics' despite controversy over violations of the Electronic Communications Basic Act. Im Seung-gwan, who worked with him, is currently the Commissioner of the KDCA. This is an extension of show-off quarantine measures.

President Yoon Suk-yeol is being accused of insurrection for allegedly discussing martial law. However, not a single citizen died under the Yoon Suk-yeol administration. In contrast, 40,000 people died under the COVID-19 quarantine led by Jeong Eun-kyeong. Is that not the real martial law?

Minister Jeong Eun-kyeong must apologize now.

It is an insult to the public for someone who controlled the people, drove them to their deaths, and evaded responsibility to be appointed as the Minister of Health and Welfare. The government should not complicate the paperwork under the guise of a special law for compensation for vaccine victims, but should instead prove causality directly and provide unconditional compensation to the bereaved families.

The citizens sacrificed under the quarantine martial law of the Moon Jae-in administration should be designated as national merit recipients, and there should be an official apology from the government. To cover up their tears, Jeong Eun-kyeong must immediately step down from her ministerial position.
