The introduction of BewhY's new song 'SOUTHSIDE FREESTYLE' is causing a significant stir by sampling the actual voice of former President Syngman Rhee saying, "It is the beginning of life, and the beginning of freedom."

Furthermore, the mention of "hammer and sickle," symbolizing communism, in the lyrics has led to speculation that it might be a message of refusal to surrender to it.

What has become even more of a topic of discussion is the part: "The seductress incites/ Halal love, extinction/ My voice is success/ Beautiful woman's voice is extin-(beep, censored)." The dominant interpretation is that the censored word, for the sake of rhyme, is '멸공' (myeolgong), meaning "anti-communism," especially since it follows the word "success" ('성공', seonggong).

BewhY, a devout Christian, has consistently incorporated his religious beliefs into his lyrics. However, recent assessments suggest he is now directly expressing his conservative political leanings.

In addition to this song, he participated in Kwon Oh-sun's song 'W.I.N.' as a featured artist in the semi-finals of Mnet's 'Show Me the Money 12' in March, delivering the line, "If you reveal everything, you'll be surprised. That level is above foresight." The phrase "above foresight" ('선구안 위', seonguan wi) sounded like "election commission" ('선관위', seonggwanwi), raising suspicions that he might have been commenting on the controversial issue of "election fraud" that is currently causing widespread social debate.

In response, one netizen stated, "If one or two people claim something, it's a conspiracy theory, but if many people claim it, it becomes the trend," adding, "It seems that the perception of reality among people in their 20s and 30s has extended even to the music industry."
