Advisor Kim Tae-san, former head of a North Korean trading company in the Czech Republic. If the government orders the dissolution of religious organizations, it will be recorded in history as a suppression of patriotism and liberal democracy.
It is reported that President Lee Jae-myung mentioned the issue of religious organizations' political involvement at a cabinet meeting on December 2 and instructed to review the dissolution order for religious foundations.
Having lived in a communist dictatorial society, I believe Lee Jae-myung's actions are political persecution of religion and are motivated by the goal of communizing South Korea. The reasons are as follows.
First, only communist dictators on Earth hate religion. Communists want the entire nation to believe and obey only their ideology and directives. However, religion makes people believe and follow only God and Buddha, not the supreme leader.
Communist dictators want to seize all national assets and use the people as slaves. However, religions have their own agendas and pursue other objectives.
The living proof of this is North Korea. The Kim Il-sung family created "Juche ideology" and the "10 Principles for Establishing the Ideological System" to bind the entire nation with Kim Il-sung's ideology. However, they fear that "Jesus" and the "Bible," which originated thousands of years ago, might lure the minds of the people. Therefore, North Korea persecutes religion. The Lee Jae-myung government is now following that path.
Although the Lee Jae-myung government claims to eliminate financial collusion between politics and religion, it is actually an act of eliminating political rivals and subjugating religious organizations.
Second, the very idea of separating religion and politics is a communist dictatorial concept that denies liberal democracy. There is no one more foolish than those who advocate for the separation of religion and politics in the world.
This is because religion also exists for the sake of people. Furthermore, religion can only exist if there is a nation. Therefore, religious people also love their country and take the lead in protecting it. To label this as political involvement and dissolve religious organizations is religious persecution and dictatorship.
Let's look at the history of this nation. Should the actions of warrior monks who rose up to defend the country be considered wrong political involvement? If so, shouldn't having military chaplains within the army also be seen as religion's involvement in politics and military affairs?
If South Korea becomes communized like North Korea or China, religion will surely disappear. But should religious people just stand by and watch? It is inevitable that religious people will have to engage in politics to protect their religion.
Then why is the Lee Jae-myung government so afraid of religious involvement in politics? This is a clear operation to eliminate political rivals, aimed at eradicating patriotic forces who fully support President Yoon Suk-yeol. It is also an operation to block Taegeukgi rallies led by Pastor Jeon Kwang-hoon, after imprisoning Pastor Son Hyun-bo, who was engaged in patriotic activities.
In Korea, it is peculiar that pro-North Korean governments are so zealous in persecuting religion. The reason is their intention to eliminate religious organizations that tend to be conservative right-wing or churches that do not obey leftists.
However, there is an even bigger problem. When the Lee Jae-myung government's remarks about dissolving religious foundations were made, some individuals claiming to be conservative right-wingers are agreeing with this. Some people are even praising it, saying, "Lee Jae-myung is wrong about everything else, but he is right about this."
There are indeed too many foolish people who cannot distinguish between excrement and soybean paste. That is why they are deceived by North Korea and leftists their whole lives, chasing after demonstrations against Presidents Rhee Syng-man and Park Chung-hee, and now they cannot even protect their own government and live by taking free money thrown by lawbreakers.
Does the Lee Jae-myung government think it will dismantle religious organizations that pro-North Korean pastors and priests, who are loyal to North Korea, sit on? No. It will actually protect pro-North Korean religious organizations.
Conservative right-wingers have been deceived by the false propaganda of spies and pro-North leftists their whole lives and have been dragged along. If they have now lost their government, it's time to come to their senses.
