Hwang Kyo-ahn, leader of the ‘Freedom and Innovation’ party, has publicly raised the issue of election fraud in South Korea to the international community, including U.S. President Donald Trump. 

Hwang defined the issue of election integrity in South Korea as a matter directly linked to America’s security and foreign policy interests, publishing an op-ed on this subject in the American political news outlet The Daily Caller on the 30th (local time). 

In the op-ed titled ‘Why South Korea’s Election Integrity Should Matter to America,’ Hwang argued, “South Korea’s election system is already structurally compromised, with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and domestic pro-North Korean and pro-China forces behind it.”

He pointed to the impeachment proceedings of President Yoon Suk-yeol and the subsequent political developments, stating, “This is not simply a domestic political conflict, but a result of external forces’ intervention.” 

Specifically, he noted, “The early voting and electronic voting systems have a structure vulnerable to election manipulation. Given allegations that China has interfered in Canadian elections, it is illogical to assume that it has not interfered in the elections in South Korea, which are far more geopolitically significant.” 

He also emphasized that “the outcome of South Korean elections is directly linked to America’s Indo-Pacific strategy,” citing the presence of Camp Humphreys, the largest U.S. military base in the world, in South Korea. 

Hwang revealed strong distrust in the National Election Commission and the judiciary, stating, “In election-related lawsuits, the National Election Commission is virtually shielded by the judiciary. As a result, election invalidation lawsuits are repeatedly dismissed.” 

Furthermore, he requested of President Trump, “Please announce that the international election fraud cartel has not only contaminated America but also South Korea, our most important ‘blood ally.’”

Meanwhile, The Daily Caller is an American political and news media outlet jointly founded in 2010 by conservative media personality Tucker Carlson and entrepreneur Neil Patel. It has over 20 million unique monthly visitors and over 60 million monthly page views.

Why Election Integrity in South Korea Matters to America

Millions of South Koreans are convinced that the process of liberal democracy in their country has been compromised. 

On the 21st of last month, after President Trump announced at the Davos Forum that individuals involved in election manipulation would soon be indicted, Koreans have been anxiously awaiting the results of the investigation into election fraud in the United States. They earnestly hope that what has been dismissed as ‘conspiracy theories’ domestically will be revealed as reality. 

We believe this is not a regional issue, but a global election manipulation cartel. 

Formal Similarities in Election Fraud in South Korea and the U.S. 

The election fraud in South Korea and the U.S. bears a striking resemblance. 

Just as in the United States, mainstream media in South Korea has thoroughly ignored public suspicion of election fraud and labeled citizens who express concern as far-right conspiracy theorists. 

Despite numerous pieces of evidence of election fraud involving South Korea’s National Election Commission (NEC), the commission, which is under suspicion of election manipulation, is shielded by the judiciary. 

This is because, by convention, the chairpersons of the regional election commissions in South Korea are judges of various levels. This is the tragic reality in South Korea. 

It is suspected that South Korean judges dismiss election invalidation lawsuits out of fear of implicating themselves and their fellow judges if they acknowledge the NEC’s flaws in such cases. 

In South Korea’s judiciary, it is no longer possible to expect fair trials based on law and conscience in lawsuits related to elections. 

Over the past six years, the liberal Democratic Party of Korea has achieved overwhelming victories in every parliamentary and presidential election. This has never happened before. 

This is a result achieved through the early voting system in South Korea, which is similar to mail-in voting in the United States. 

The only exception was the election of President Yoon Suk-yeol, and even in that case, he barely won by a margin of 0.73% in an election that could have been won by an overwhelming majority. 

The monitoring activities of the Anti-Election Fraud and Corruption Organization (Bubon-dae), a citizen watchdog group I organized, and patriotic citizens are evaluated to have played a significant role. 

Evidence of Chinese Communist Party Involvement in International Election Fraud Cartel

In December 2024, President Yoon Suk-yeol, a conservative, attempted a bold intervention by declaring martial law and deploying troops to the National Election Commission to secure evidence of election fraud. However, regrettably, martial law troops recently testified that they did not access the NEC’s computer servers. 

Subsequently, the left impeached President Yoon and recently sought a death penalty for him on charges of sedition. 

Who is orchestrating all of this? 

I have directly implicated pro-North Korean forces within South Korea and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). 

The person who first introduced electronic voting machines to South Korea has a history of espionage for Pyongyang. He also co-authored a thesis on data-driven election campaigns with a leftist figure who had worked as a manager in Beijing for many years. 

China’s infiltration through the United Front Work Department is blatant. 

There was an astonishing incident where the official YouTube channel of South Korea’s National Election Commission (NEC) once introduced Wang Huning, the fourth-highest-ranking official in the Chinese Communist Party and the architect of influence operations, as a ‘democratic leader.’ 

If Beijing interfered in Canadian elections, which are 6,500 miles away, it is illogical to assume that Beijing has not interfered in South Korean elections, which are less than 600 miles away and home to Camp Humphreys, the world’s premier U.S. military base. 

South Korea’s modernization was built upon the contributions of American elite missionaries, and after the successful military intervention by the UN and the U.S. during the Korean War in the 1950s, it blossomed into a ‘model case’ of simultaneous democratization and economic growth. 

Today, South Korea has become a global leader in missionary work and advanced technology. However, these achievements are now being stifled by the communist regimes of North Korea and China. 

They are attempting to install puppet regimes through rigged elections, which is resulting in outcomes directly opposed to America’s national interests. 

Request to Trump: ‘Reveal Involvement of International Cartel in Korea’ 

South Korea is currently paralyzed. The separation of powers and the rule of law are collapsing. 

The Lee Jae-myung administration and the legislature, born out of election fraud, refuse to reform the early voting system that supports them. 

As President Trump addresses the issue of election integrity, I urge him to announce that the international cartel has not only contaminated America but also South Korea, our most important ‘blood ally.’ 

I am confident that this can trigger a full-scale investigation into election fraud in South Korea. 

I have fought with all my might over the past five years to uncover this truth, and I remain convinced that election fraud is being committed. 

Just like a Korean drama filled with twists and turns, the struggle for election integrity in South Korea will ultimately end in victory for the people.
