U.S. President Donald Trump said on the 11th (local time) that the war with Iran "will end whenever I want it to end."

In a phone interview with U.S. internet media Axios on the same day, President Trump stated that the war would end "soon."

President Trump explained the reason by saying, "There are virtually no targets left to attack," adding, "There are just a few things here and there."

President Trump emphasized, "The war is going very well. We are far ahead of schedule. Even based on the original plan of (up to) 6 weeks, we have inflicted more damage than we thought."

President Trump said, "They (Iran) were targeting the rest of the Middle East. They are paying the price for the death and destruction they have caused for 47 years. This (war) is retaliation for that. They will not get away with it so easily."
