An official from the organizing committee stated, “This will serve as an opportunity to reaffirm the strength of the Korea-U.S. alliance and further solidify the cooperation between the two nations regarding international security issues.”

Meanwhile, upon arriving in Korea via Incheon Airport on the 30th, Ambassador Steel met with reporters and stated, “I look forward to working with Korea to ensure that our ironclad alliance remains the linchpin for peace and security in the region.”
