Morse H. Tan, former President of the International Criminal Justice Association (CIJ), has reaffirmed his strong willingness to serve as the U.S. Ambassador to Korea, stating, "If God calls me, I will gladly answer," and revealed that U.S. President Donald Trump is undertaking some form of work to investigate fraudulent elections in Korea.
In an exclusive interview with Sung Ku Hong, CEO of News & Post (NNP), at a restaurant in Virginia, USA, on the afternoon of the 13th (local time), Tan stated, "I am willing to serve," suggesting that he is waiting for an ambassadorship appointment with a spirit of obedience to a divine calling as a Christian.
He indicated, "There are rumors that it might not take long (until the appointment), but it will be decided when the U.S. government makes its decision," and strongly expressed his intent to accept the position, saying, "If God leads and opens the door at the right time, I will not hesitate to take on the role."
He also commented on the situation where the Lee Jae-myung administration nominated former Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha as Ambassador to the U.S., but the Trump administration has not yet granted agrément (the host country's consent process). Tan remarked, "Some are talking about a 'trade,' where if the U.S. grants agrément, Korea will also grant agrément."
This appears to be a remark in consideration of the backlash from some quarters, suggesting that even if the U.S. appoints Tan as Ambassador to Korea, the Korean government might not grant agrément after Tan's past remarks about the "Andong Dam" incident.
However, he once again emphasized that the Andong Dam crime allegations, which are heating up Korea, are based on grounds. While Tan expressed his personal wish, stating, "I hope these crimes are not true, and I am not someone who wants this to be true," he added, "There is testimony," lending weight to the allegations.
He further explained, "I have never met Lee Jae-myung, nor has he done anything to me, but this is not related to that. I am talking about how the country is faring, whether it is collapsing, whether there is justice, and what the truth is." The Bible states, "The Lord looks at the heart." Among Christians who base their faith on the Bible, the "heart" is commonly interpreted and understood as "intention."
This can be interpreted as clarifying that his Andong Dam exposé stems from an "intention" to be concerned about the nation's foundation and to establish justice and truth, beyond mere criticism.
Regarding the eradication of China's fraudulent election cartel, Tan was cautious, stating that the U.S. government is undertaking "preparatory work" related to Korea, and while he knows the details, he cannot reveal them at this time.
When Hong, who was conducting the interview, asked, "Is the U.S. government currently preparing anything?" Tan gave a significant reply: "I know there is, but it is not appropriate to go into detail about what it is. It's not just talk."
Regarding when the U.S.'s full-scale action might emerge, he promptly replied, "It is a process now," and when asked again, "Shouldn't it be known yet?" he implied "Yes."
He also offered reasoned predictions regarding the roles of John R. Mills, current U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, and Bradley A. Thayer, a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Chicago, who were active in Korea as members of the U.S. election monitoring group around the 6.3 presidential election.
When asked about the timing of the U.S. publicizing issues with the Korean National Election Commission (NEC), citing Deputy Assistant Secretary Mills' focus on election monitoring and President Trump's directive to government departments to investigate the 2020 U.S. presidential election fraud allegations, Tan wittily retorted, "Do you think Deputy Assistant Secretary Mills won't talk about Korea?"
He further explained, "During the first Trump administration, when dealing with North Korea, President Trump received information not only from North Korea officials but from a broader range of sources within the U.S. government. So, you cannot say that Deputy Assistant Secretary Mills is only in charge of cybersecurity."
This is interpreted as suggesting that based on the consolidated information from various departments, the Trump administration will eventually publicize its stance identifying China as the core of the fraudulent election cartel.
He added, "There can be broader (information) input," and predicted, "Professor Brad Thayer will likely join the administration as well."

Tan emphasized that the raid on the Hyundai-LG Energy Solutions battery plant was "not a coincidence," interpreting it as a message to the Lee Jae-myung administration.
Specifically, he pointed out, "Didn't this send a message to Lee Jae-myung that the raid on churches (seizure and search) and the raid on Osan Air Base were crazy?" He added, "Everything must be viewed within its context. You cannot look at the timing of the raids separately, as if they are unrelated."
When asked if it would be problematic for the U.S. if Korean companies announced their withdrawal from the U.S., he replied, "Didn't they simultaneously ask American experts to teach Korean technology?" He continued, "Sharing professional knowledge while prohibiting illegal entry is not intended to damage the relationship. Companies are already making more efforts to do better with the Trump administration."
These remarks align with the sentiments of the broader U.S. conservative base. In fact, following the news of the arrest of illegal workers, a strong public outcry emerged from the U.S. conservative circles criticizing ally Korea for disregarding U.S. law. It has been pointed out that Korean mainstream media failed to properly convey this angry U.S. public opinion and instead rushed to blame the Trump administration.
Morse H. Tan also conveyed a message of encouragement and hope to the Korean people, saying, "Don't give up and fight until the end."
At the end of the interview, he offered words of encouragement to the patriotic citizens of Korea, who are weary from fighting in difficult circumstances for a long time: "Don't think the U.S. hasn't helped. I believe we are at a turning point," he asserted, hinting, "Look at the launch of Truth Social."
In this regard, Hong explained to this newspaper that Tan was referring to President Trump's post on the morning of the 25th of last month, just three hours before a bilateral working-level meeting between South Korea and the U.S., where he wrote, "It seems like a 'Purge or Revolution' is happening in Korea right now."
Morse H. Tan said, "How much we anticipated those words (purge or revolution) you mentioned then. Hasn't it finally arrived?" He continued, "So, you can't say the U.S. has done nothing. And before and after that, he said something. Something is happening within the U.S. government right now," conveying the prevailing sentiment.
He added, "The Hyundai-LG case is also not a small matter. It's action, not just words. So, I hope that patriots in Korea will not think there is no hope, but can also rely on the U.S. government. It is not right to think there is no hope at all. We have reached a turning point," he reiterated.
When asked if his previous statement that change will come if 3.5% of the entire population unites and protests is still valid, he replied, "Globally, yes." He then posed a question, "So, I've seen various numbers of people gathered (in reality), but I'm not sure what's accurate. Has it exceeded that number? Has the number shifted by a digit?" A digit means one unit in the decimal system, meaning whether another zero has been added. This is interpreted as questioning whether 3.5% of the actual population gathered or if the targeted number was mobilized. He left a lingering thought: "I'm not sure. But (if 3.5% gathers) it would be good. It would be good if it happens in the future."
He encouraged Korean patriots, saying, "I think you are doing well," and expressed his support: "I see you protesting in the streets and posting online. I also see those running conservative YouTube media. I think you are doing well."
Finally, Tan cited the Bible verse from Galatians 6:9, "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up," and asserted, "Belief can be a source of strength. Until it happens, to the end."
Then, he stated, "I understand that you are tired and that it is difficult," but added, "In many cases, human desires and God's timing do not align. From a human perspective, there are many times when one feels 'why is it taking so long,' but there is definitely God's time, and if you have God's hope, I believe God will act in His time. I believe the situation in Korea will be the same."
He concluded by saying, "I hope you will continue to be patient and persevere until God saves Korea," and reiterated his unwavering encouragement and support: "I think the patriotic citizens are doing many things well, and I am proud of them. I want to encourage you to keep going."
