The documentary film 'Why (歪): The Cartel', which investigates controversies and suspicions surrounding South Korea's election system, will meet audiences in the new year of 2026 as a theatrically released version with a highly polished, upgraded video.

This film is recognized as a masterpiece documentary that focuses on questioning the election process as a whole and attempting a structural analysis, based on data obtained from polling stations, statistical analysis, and actual cases, centering on allegations of fraudulent elections that have been raised since the general election on April 15, 2020.

In particular, the film concisely explains 'how suspicions are being raised' by examining various elements such as △vote counting processes △ballot boxes and vote tabulation procedures △voter registration lists △and statistical outliers. Through this, it has been reborn as a film reconstructed to allow audiences to make their own judgments based on the presented data and analysis.

'Why (歪): The Cartel' was screened for approximately 1,000 people at the National Assembly Library in 2023 and garnered significant public attention through various releases, including screenings on large screen trucks. Although five petitions were filed requesting its broadcast on terrestrial television (KBS), KBS refused to air it, citing a Supreme Court ruling. However, it was released for free through numerous right-leaning YouTube channels, recording a cumulative viewership of 1 million.

This work, which has been at the center of controversy, will once again face the audience directly through its official theatrical release.

The production team has focused on a comprehensive overview of South Korea's election system up to the presidential election held on June 3, 2025, through post-production work such as editing and mixing.

◇ With 'Min Kyung-wook', the First Penguin

Min Kyung-wook, a former member of the National Assembly, who immediately stood on the streets of Incheon, convinced of the circumstances of fraudulent elections that occurred throughout South Korea on April 15, 2020, met the film's director, Kkappukka, on those streets. They have been making the film together for four years, and he has been disseminating evidence videos via large trucks equipped with screens.

Two years later, the film, in an upgraded version, is being sent to theaters nationwide to expose ongoing plots for fraudulent elections. Former Assemblyman Min is convinced that this cruel truth, which has never been doubted or wavered, will finally be declared to all citizens through the offline medium of theaters, becoming the sole sword to purify South Korea.

Director Kkappukka expressed his anticipation, stating, "If the viewership of this documentary film exceeds 1 million, I expect a new turning point to be 마련될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다" (a new turning point can be created) in the movement to uncover fraudulent elections. He added, "What I hope for most is that this evidence video becomes a fuse, igniting all citizens to come out to the streets and rise up."

Former Assemblyman Min Kyung-wook (CEO of KCPAC), the co-producer of the film, declared, "This is for the journalists living in this era," and warned, "If they condone fraudulent elections, they will have to confess their sins for a long time to come – the sins of not wielding their pens, which are stronger than swords, the bells of society, the kings of the indifferent."
