Police have conducted a search and seizure at the home of Kim Mi-young, who has been leading patriotic banner activities.

On the 27th, social media users, including Kim Sang-hyun, CEO of Gukdae Tteokbokki, uploaded videos of the search and seizure at Kim Mi-young's home in Yongin to their channels.

CEO Kim Sang-hyun stated through the Gukdae Tteokbokki YouTube channel, "Only the road to Kim Mi-young's house is under vehicle control," and arrived at the scene on foot to continue reporting.

Lawyer Kwon Oh-yong, who was present at the scene and also serves as the Incheon City Chairman for the Freedom and Innovation Party, said when CEO Kim Sang-hyun handed him the microphone, "As Kim Mi-young's lawyer, I was very surprised by the sudden news of the search and seizure," and added, "There have been one or two investigations by the election commission since last year."

Regarding the investigation details, he expressed his bewilderment, saying, "They claim the donations received for banner production violate the Political Funds Act. It's not a difficult investigation to determine guilt or innocence; they could just indict if there's a crime. Why are they dragging this out and conducting a house search now?"

He cautiously offered his opinion on the sudden search and seizure, asking, "Isn't there some political background to this?"

He also hinted that the incident might be related to recent criticisms of the Lee Jae-myung administration for potentially harming China-Korea relations by inciting unnecessary anti-China sentiment with banners questioning "Chinese intervention in unfair elections."

When CEO Kim asked if "Yoon Eo-gein" (a term implying a repeat of Yoon's policies) was the issue, the lawyer briefly replied, "That's something the public can talk about."

Kim Mi-young has been working to promote the values of a free Republic of Korea across the country through her "patriotic banner" activities. Many patriotic citizens have shown significant support and backing for this voluntary civic movement born out of love for the country.

Previously, Kim Mi-young's side announced that they were unavoidably terminating their cooperative relationship with the "Tomorrow for the Future" party, with whom they had been collaborating. They stated their intention to continue their activities, saying, "We will notify you again once we have prepared a new alternative."
