FBI Searches Fulton County Election Board in Georgia [Atlanta AP=Yonhap News]

The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has launched a forced investigation into the Fulton County Election Board in Georgia in connection with alleged election fraud. 

The Fulton County government announced in a statement on the 28th (local time) that "the FBI is confiscating 2020 election-related records stored at the election board." 

The FBI stated that its agents are carrying out "a court-authorized law enforcement action."

Local media reported that FBI agents dispatched to the scene confiscated and carried out approximately 700 boxes of documents.

Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard and FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe were reportedly on-site to oversee the operation. 

Brad Raffensperger, the Secretary of State who oversees elections in Georgia, has not yet made a statement.
