U.S. President Donald Trump stated on the 28th (local time) regarding reports that Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei was killed in U.S. and Israeli attacks against Iran, "We think that is an accurate story."

According to NBC News, President Trump responded in this manner when asked about the reports of the Iranian Supreme Leader's death during an interview with the network.

In an interview with ABC News, when asked if he believed that members of the Iranian leadership had been killed, President Trump replied, "Many of the leadership, yes," adding, "But we don't know everything."

When asked about the formation of Iran's next leadership, President Trump stated, "We have a very good idea."

Additionally, a U.S. government official told Fox News that they believe Khamenei and five to ten members of the Iranian leadership were killed.
