A unique exhibition, born from the collaboration of a humanities scholar and a photographer, opens its doors wide to welcome spring.
Writer Hwang In-hee (text) and photographer Yoon Sang-gu are holding an exhibition to commemorate the release of their new book, 'Flowers and History: Blooming Story Flowers,' allowing visitors to experience the photographs from the book firsthand.
This exhibition, taking place from March 5th to March 30th at 'Cafe Gallery Anna Art,' a cultural space in Myeongdong, Seoul, goes beyond simply showcasing the beauty of flowers. It focuses on visually reconstructing the stories of flowers that have intertwined with Korean history.
The exhibition offers a rich humanities experience, particularly through the synergy of photographer Yoon Sang-gu's delicate lens and writer Hwang In-hee's engaging prose.
Additionally, a book launch reception, where visitors can interact directly with the authors, will be held on Tuesday, March 10th, at 3 PM.
The authors have respectfully requested that congratulatory wreaths or potted plants be declined, in keeping with the exhibition's theme. The flowers captured in the photographs adorning the exhibition space are considered sufficient.
Instead, visitors will have the opportunity to purchase the author's photographic works and the new book, 'Flowers and History: Blooming Story Flowers,' at the exhibition venue.
