Iran's primary nuclear facility, the Natanz uranium enrichment complex, was attacked by the United States and Israel, according to Iran's semi-official Tasnim News Agency, citing Iranian authorities on March 21 (local time).
In a statement, Iranian authorities announced, "This morning, the criminal attack was carried out by the United States and the usurping Zionist regime (Israel) on our country's 'Martyr Ahmadi Roshan' Natanz enrichment complex."
Iran strongly condemned the attack, stating it was a direct violation of international laws and obligations related to nuclear safety and security, as well as the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
Immediately following the attack, Iran's Atomic Energy Organization conducted a detailed technical investigation into the possibility of radioactive material release in the vicinity of the facility.
Based on the investigation results, Iranian authorities emphasized, "After reviewing the data recorded by the existing precautionary measures and monitoring systems, no leakage of radioactive material within the complex has been reported to date," and added, "There is no dangerous situation posing a threat to residents in the surrounding areas."

In related news, Israel's public broadcaster KAN reported that today's attack on the Natanz nuclear enrichment facility was a U.S. military operation, and that bunker busters, designed to strike deep underground targets, were used in the attack.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) stated it is assessing the situation at the Natanz nuclear facility. IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi stated on the IAEA's official X account, "I repeatedly urge restraint from military action to avoid the risk of a nuclear accident."
The IAEA also explained that no anomalies, such as an increase in external radiation levels at the facility, have been reported yet.
Iranian authorities and the IAEA confirmed that the Natanz nuclear facility was attacked by the United States and Israel on the 1st as well.
