On the 31st at 3 p.m., the Korea-U.S. Alliance Group, along with approximately 80 other organizations and a coalition of YouTubers, will hold a ‘Press Conference to Welcome New U.S. Ambassador to South Korea Michelle Steel and Urge the Deployment of Warships to the Strait of Hormuz’ near the U.S. Embassy at Exit 2 of Gwanghwamun Station in Seoul.
This press conference was organized to welcome new U.S. Ambassador to South Korea Michelle Steel following the inauguration of the Trump administration, and to urge the South Korean government to actively consider the request made by the U.S. President Donald Trump for the deployment of warships to the Strait of Hormuz.
On the 30th, U.S. Ambassador to South Korea Michelle Steel expressed her commitment to cooperating with the South Korean government for the advancement of the Korea-U.S. alliance.
An official from the organizing committee stated, “This will serve as an opportunity to reaffirm the strength of the Korea-U.S. alliance and further solidify the cooperation between the two nations regarding international security issues.”
