There is news that much-needed rain is expected to fall this afternoon in the Jeonbuk region, including Imsil's Okjeongho Lake, where the riverbed had been exposed due to a prolonged drought. Residents are collectively hoping that this rainfall will raise water levels.

Okjeongho Lake is a major tourist destination in Imsil, famous for its "Crucian Carp Island" (Bungeoseom)—which resembles the shape of a fish—and the 420-meter-long Okjeongho Suspension Bridge. While it is highly popular for its gardens that bloom throughout the four seasons and its scenic, misty landscapes, the recent severe drought has reduced the area to a mere stream, raising concerns among local residents.
