U.S. President Donald Trump has ordered the Department of Justice to investigate ActBlue, a fundraising platform for the Democratic Party.
President Trump announced on his social media platform Truth Social on December 25 (local time) that he had "directed the Department of Justice to submit a report within six months" and that "this report addresses the allegations that Democrats, using ActBlue, violated the Election Campaign Act and received foreign funds."
ActBlue is a donation platform for the Democratic Party that has raised over $16 billion since 2004. The investigation aims to uncover suspicions related to illegal straw donors and foreign contributions made through ActBlue.
In a post referencing Wall Street Apes, President Trump stated the reason for the directive was to "determine whether foreign funds were donated to this organization and influenced the election."

Within South Korea, regarding President Trump's clear six-month deadline for the election fraud investigation, there are discussions suggesting, "There are local elections in South Korea in six months. Isn't this a directive to sort it out before then?" and "It is highly likely that this matter will cause significant repercussions in Korean society."
Furthermore, various social media outlets are raising opinions such as, "The investigation has likely progressed to some extent already. I heard that declaring martial law is not a matter that South Korea can unilaterally decide. It would be impossible without the approval of the United States."
Interpretations of this move by patriotic conservatives are divided into two, but the conclusions are generally similar.
First, there is the perspective that "The United States is a country that never takes lightly those who helped them and matters that concern them," suggesting that they will help Korea even now. Second, there is the perspective that "The United States strictly prioritizes its own national interests. They will not stand by and watch Chinese forces gain control of Korea."
Although their interpretations differ, the patriotic conservatives are united in their hope that this U.S. action will have a positive impact on Korea.
Meanwhile, the Democratic Party is reportedly tense about this measure, calling it a "dangerous abuse of power."
