Former lawmaker Min Kyung-wook is interviewed by this newspaper on April 15, the 6th anniversary of the April 15th fraudulent election. ⓒHanmi IlboFormer lawmaker Min Kyung-wook of the then United Future Party (predecessor to the People Power Party) has expressed strong distrust in the direction of the special committee for the inquiry into the 'ballot shortage incident,' pointing out that committee member Seo Bum-soo, who serves as the People Power Party's liaison, has made statements denying past fraudulent elections. 

On the 21st, Min stated on his social media service (SNS) that "Assemblyman Seo Bum-soo is the person who appealed to Democratic Party lawmakers in the National Assembly's Public Administration and Security Committee, saying, 'None of the People Power Party members on the committee believe in fraudulent elections, so do not slander your colleagues.'"

Min's remarks come at a time when the leadership of the People Power Party is distancing itself from the truth of fraudulent elections, despite Min having dedicated six years to the fight against election fraud as the standing representative of the April 15th Election Fraud National Struggle Headquarters. 

He pointed out, "Assemblyman Seo's elder brother, Seo Byung-soo, former mayor of Busan, served as an honorary election committee chairman for Han Dong-hoon, who stands at the opposite pole of our struggle against election fraud."

He then criticized, "Han Dong-hoon is an enemy of our struggle, who vehemently described the fraudulent election theory as a 'conspiracy theory consumed on far-right YouTube.'"

Regarding Yoon Sang-hyun, the chairman of the special committee, Min urged, "He is merely a person showing opportunistic behavior regarding fraudulent elections and President Yoon Suk-yeol's state of emergency decree. Please keep a close watch on their every move."

Some in political circles predict that the special committee will likely end up being a 'containment' measure aimed at downplaying and controlling the situation, rather than fundamentally resolving the suspicions.
