Starbucks Korea announced that its "Aerocano," which debuted in South Korea—a world first—on February 26, has surpassed 5.5 million cups in cumulative sales just five months after its launch.

According to Starbucks Korea on the 26th, the Aerocano recorded 1 million cups sold within the first seven days of its release, marking the fastest sales rate for any iced beverage ever launched by Starbucks in Korea. As of today, marking its fifth month, cumulative sales have exceeded 5.5 million cups.

The Aerocano is a new style of iced-only Americano that adds air-rating technology to a standard Americano, creating a velvety, creamy foam and a smooth texture.

The product was developed to actively reflect the unique Korean coffee culture and trend of "Eoljuk-a" (meaning "I'd rather freeze than give up iced coffee"), where consumers enjoy iced coffee regardless of the season.

Having successfully proven its potential in the Korean market, the Aerocano is now expanding its reach to various countries across Asia and strengthening its product lineup with new releases tailored to changing consumer trends.

Driven by consistent acclaim from domestic customers and its successful market entry, the Aerocano is now being sold in several Asian countries, including India, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, and Vietnam.

Furthermore, in response to positive feedback in the domestic market and to meet customer demand for unique coffee experiences, Starbucks introduced a new product, the "Grapefruit Honey Aerocano," on the 9th.

In the food and beverage industry, there is a rapidly growing trend of "variation" and "customization," where consumers seek new flavors by combining coffee, tea, and fruit rather than sticking to a single category.

Starbucks Korea described the Grapefruit Honey Aerocano as a product that incorporates the familiar and refreshing flavors of the brand's iconic best-seller, "Grapefruit Honey Black Tea," into the Aerocano. It maintains the soft texture of the original Aerocano while maximizing a fresh, well-balanced taste.

A Starbucks Korea official stated, "Starting with the Grapefruit Honey Aerocano, we plan to continue expanding our lineup of differentiated beverage products to further enhance the coffee experience for our customers."
