People Power Party Floor Leader Jeong Jeom-sik will visit Daegu on the 19th to pay a courtesy call on former President Park Geun-hye.
According to party officials on the 18th, Floor Leader Jeong is scheduled to meet with the former president at her private residence in Dalseong-gun, Daegu, at 11 a.m. on the 19th. Representative Yoon Yong-geun, who serves as Jeong's chief of staff, is also planning to accompany him.
It is reported that Representative Yoo Young-ha, a close aide to the former president, will also be in attendance.
The visit was reportedly arranged after Floor Leader Jeong personally requested it to pay his respects following his election as the party's floor leader last June.
During the meeting, Floor Leader Jeong is expected to express his gratitude to the former president for her active support and campaigning for People Power Party candidates during the June 3 local elections.
Although former President Park has refrained from public activities since her impeachment in 2017, she actively supported People Power Party candidates during the June 3 local election period by traveling across the Yeongnam, Chungcheong, and Gangwon regions, delivering messages of "conservative unity" wherever she went.
