A photo, believed to be of John R. Mills, Assistant Secretary of State, visiting South Korea, has garnered attention.
On Thursday, the 18th, Mills posted two photos on X (formerly Twitter) that appear to have been taken at Incheon International Airport Terminal 2, showing a Korean Air aircraft. These photos are presumed to have been taken on the afternoon of June 18th, Korean time.
This comes at a time when Ambassador Moss Tank, who led an international election observation mission with Mills to South Korea last year, has been banned from leaving the country by the South Korean government.
It is not immediately clear whether the State Department has dispatched Assistant Secretary Mills to take action regarding Ambassador Tank, or if he has already concluded a secret visit to South Korea and is on his way back to the United States after taking certain measures.

Assistant Secretary Mills, who visited South Korea as a member of the international election observation mission during the June 3rd early presidential election in 2025, is a figure who drew attention last year for stating at a press conference in Washington D.C. that the June 3rd early presidential election was fraudulent and that the Chinese Communist Party was behind it.
He had identified Wang Huning, who was ranked fourth in the Chinese Communist Party hierarchy, as the head of an international election fraud cartel.
He is currently serving as the Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of Cyberspace and Digital Policy.
