According to the Foreign Ministry's X (formerly Twitter) account, President Pezeshkian will visit Pakistan with a high-level delegation, including ministers, to meet with Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and hold summit talks with Prime Minister Sharif.
In addition, Pakistani Senate Chairman Yousuf Raza Gilani and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar are also scheduled to call on President Pezeshkian.
This will be President Pezeshkian's second visit to Pakistan since taking office as president.
During the visit, both sides will review all aspects of bilateral relations and explore new areas for deepening cooperation across various sectors, including trade, energy, border security, people-to-people exchanges, and regional connectivity.
The Foreign Ministry explained that this visit will be an important opportunity to discuss ongoing diplomatic engagements and regional and international developments of mutual interest following the 'Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)' signed by the United States and Iran for a ceasefire on the 17th.
The Foreign Ministry added that the visit reflects a shared commitment to further deepen the historical and cultural ties between the two countries and highlights their common aspirations for peace, stability, and sustainable progress in the region.
