North Korea has installed barbed wire fences up to 80-90 meters from the Military Demarcation Line (MDL) and completed land clearing operations for mine deployment up to 5-10 meters ahead.

It has been confirmed that North Korean troops, in accordance with Kim Jong Un's directive of a "hostile two-state" policy and "fortification of the southern border," have advanced to just before the MDL, erecting fences and laying mines.

Advance Up to 5m from MDL... Demilitarized Zone Effectively Militarized

This is the first time it has been confirmed that North Korean barbed wire fences are located within 100 meters of the MDL across all fronts in the west, central, and east.

In particular, the land clearing operations, a prerequisite for mine laying, have already been completed up to approximately 5-10 meters in front of the MDL. Some sections are reportedly so advanced that they could be considered as encroaching south of the MDL from the South Korean perspective.

Furthermore, tactical roads are being built behind the barbed wire fences to allow for the movement of patrol vehicles, suggesting a significant eastward expansion of North Korean military activity in the future.

Military experts have criticized these actions as "dangerous moves that neutralize the buffer function of the DMZ and increase the possibility of accidental clashes," suggesting that North Korea intends to solidify its self-imposed line as the de facto MDL.

Unprecedented Large-Scale Manpower Deployment... Construction Period Shortened by Over a Year

According to the Joint Chiefs of Staff, North Korea has so far completed approximately 90 km of fencing and up to about 70 km of tactical roads along the 155-mile (approximately 250 km) MDL.

Notably, in the first half of this year, North Korea deployed approximately 5,000 troops to the front lines, five times the number deployed in the same period last year (about 1,000), engaging in a rapid construction effort. At this pace, the border line disruption measures are expected to be completed within two to three years, more than a year ahead of the military authorities' initial estimate of four years.

South Korea's military and the United Nations Command (UNC) have shown slightly different reactions to North Korea's actions.

South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff stated, "The North Korean military's installation of obstacles along the MDL is a clear violation of the Armistice Agreement," adding, "The South Korean military will continue to respond in close cooperation with the UNC." The South Korean military also asserted that it maintains the capability to respond overwhelmingly to any provocation from North Korea.

While the South Korean military condemned North Korea's actions for directly breaching the demilitarized standards of the DMZ, the UNC, as the managing body of the Armistice Agreement, has stated its intention to cautiously examine the matter, considering the possibility of "construction for defensive purposes."

Currently, the military authorities are closely monitoring the North Korean military's movements in the front lines and focusing on stable situation management, based on the cooperation system with the ROK-US alliance and the UNC.

Ceasefire violation? Then what? Are you going to charge with a club?
Those who sentence to 30 years for sending drones in response to the North's dirty drones, what will you do if they push through the barbed wire at the DMZ?
Now that the world is normalizing, all the leftists who caused sedition, treason, and rebellion must be thoroughly investigated,
lined up in front of the executioner's block at Gwanghwamun intersection, and judged by the people.
