A woman in her 30s, accused of obstructing business by blocking sports organization staff from entering the indoor office at the Olympic Park Handball Gymnasium—which served as a vote counting station for the June 3 local elections—arrives at the Seoul Eastern District Court in Songpa-gu, Seoul, on the 21st for a pre-arrest interrogation (warrant validity hearing).

A woman who blocked members of sports organizations affiliated with the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee from entering the Olympic Park Handball Gymnasium last month, along with other protest participants, is now facing the possibility of arrest.

Judge Seo Beom-jun, in charge of warrants at the Seoul Eastern District Court, held a pre-arrest interrogation (warrant validity hearing) for the woman, identified as A, at 2:30 p.m. on the 21st on charges of obstruction of business.

In conservative online communities, the woman has been nicknamed "Ol-darc," a portmanteau of "Olympic Park" and "Joan of Arc."

Arriving at the court at 2:24 p.m. wearing a black top and glasses, A did not respond to reporters' questions such as "What points will you argue during the hearing?" or "Do you admit to the charges of obstruction of business?" and headed directly into the courtroom.

Some conservative YouTubers carrying red umbrellas and wearing hats inscribed with "Yoon Again" shouted, "Stay strong, Ol-darc," as she passed.

A is accused of obstructing the business of sports organizations on the 16th of last month by holding onto the doors and blocking entry for about two hours, preventing them from entering the venue even after participants of the Olympic Park protest and People Power Party representative Jang Dong-hyuk had reached an agreement to allow their entry.

At the time, A had a U.S. flag wrapped around her waist. When she appeared in court today, she wore a brooch featuring both the U.S. flag and the South Korean flag on her chest.

The previous night, A had posted a video on her YouTube channel titled "Regarding my arrest warrant, Ol-darc speaks directly," in which she disclosed the details of the warrant.

According to the video, the warrant states that she committed a serious act of business obstruction by neutralizing an agreement made between the main opposition party, the president of the sports committee, and the police, and that the duration of the blockade had become indefinite as a result. The warrant also emphasizes the necessity of severe punishment to prevent the emergence of "second or third Ol-darcs."

Warrant hearings were also held simultaneously for a man in his 30s accused of illegal search (special coercion) of the junior women’s handball national team who entered the gymnasium on the 8th of last month, and three men in their 20s accused of obstructing the performance of public duties for insulting a police officer by calling them "Chinese police" and blocking their path at the counting station on the 6th of last month.

It is reported that the warrant for the man in his 30s, who live-streamed the search and told athletes to take off their socks, describes his actions as "reprehensible," citing his act of live-streaming the athletes' faces for personal profit.
