Apprehension of the Geoje stabbing suspect [Provided by reader]

The Geoje Police Station in Gyeongnam announced on the 4th that it has arrested an 80-year-old man, identified as A, on charges of attempted murder for attacking an employee and a customer with a weapon at a hair salon.

The Tongyeong Branch of the Changwon District Court issued an arrest warrant for A on the same day after conducting a pre-arrest interrogation, stating that there was a risk of flight.

A is accused of entering a hair salon in the Geoje area around 11:25 a.m. on the 2nd and attacking a 30-year-old female employee, B, and a 40-year-old male customer, C, with a weapon he had prepared in advance.

B and C were transported to a hospital for treatment, and it is reported that their lives are not currently in danger.
