Follow-up negotiations to the ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran are scheduled to resume on the 11th, Saudi Arabian state broadcaster Al Arabiya reported on the 4th (local time).

Citing sources, the broadcaster reported that the talks between the two countries will resume on the 11th in Pakistan, which is acting as a mediator, following the conclusion of the funeral for the late Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

According to the report, the negotiations resuming after the funeral are expected to cover several key issues, including sanctions against Iran, the release of frozen Iranian funds, and nuclear negotiations.

The broadcaster stated, "The upcoming negotiations are focused on curbing rising tensions and resuming the nuclear program negotiation track, amid persistent disagreements between the two countries regarding the memorandum of understanding on the ceasefire."

Working-level delegations from both countries previously held indirect talks in Doha, Qatar, on the 1st.

U.S. President Donald Trump had assessed those talks as being very positive.

While the Iranian side claimed that the two parties had agreed to partially unfreeze billions of dollars in Iranian assets, U.S. officials are reported to have denied that any such agreement was reached.
